City Lights

Twinkling against the city lights
They make the night a day
Take away it’s dark black coat
Silence disappears

Replaced by bittersweet agony
The burden of all humans
While walking into neon spots
You can not hide

And I feel teeny am I too small
Endangered on a brink to fall
And I feel lazy am I too slow
Is my light too weak to glow
To stand the dares of one life
A constant fight with inner strife

Only throughout a distant view
When we seem the same
All the different considerations
Is taken away

Like limp tokens of our gods
Delayed in old-known lanes
We are trapped in the field
With no way out

Aimless almost nameless
We stray along the streets
Stainless almost shameless
We take place on our given seats

And I feel teeny am I too small
Endangered on a brink to fall
And I feel lazy am I too slow
Is my light too weak to glow
To stand the dares of one life
A constant fight with inner strife

So we’re shaking on in the cold
A black shadow as escort
Hope not to break under citys air
When no one cares

And still I feel teeny am I too small
Endangered on a brink to fall
And still I feel lazy am I too slow
Is my light too weak to glow
To stand the dares of one life
A constant fight with inner strife
